Balblair 1983 31 years Single Malt

This is a 31 year expression bottled in 2014 in Balblair’s unique style and is a very special dram.

Balblair is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, hidden in the town of Edderton, northern Highlands. Within sight, on the ancient plain of Eadar Dun, lies a great stone monument, erected over four millennia ago by the Picts. It is this sacred stone, the ‘Clach Biorach’, which inspires Balblair to be awesome and make delicious whisky. Ancient motivations, sacred stones, delicious whisky, it all makes so much sense.

Nose: Waxy and fruity, pineapple, vanilla and some icing sugar sweetness.

Palate: Custard tarts and nutmeg, becoming slightly sharper with some apple and cinnamon.

Finish: Green and leafy, with vanilla, soft caramel and some lingering apple notes.
