Ben Nevis 19 years Cask Strength, Private Barrel Company

This is a wonderful Fino Sherry cask whisky and was laid up in the Ben Nevis Distillery in 1996. Bottled by the Private Barrel Company Independent bottlers in 2015 at cask strength.

Ben Nevis Distillery was founded by Long John Macdonald in 1825, who was a grandchild of a King of Argyll, and apparently very tall. The Distillery itself is located at the foot of the Ben Nevis Mountain and the ocean, which surely imparts a wonderful flavor to the Malt.

Generally the PBC bottles are pretty awesome and this one is no different. Lots of mature Sherry.
