Bowmore 12 Years Single Malt (1980’s)

The classic dumpy brown bottle of Bowmore, bottled in the 1980’s. Produced by Morrison Bowmore as stated on the Bottle.

In 1779, local merchant David Simpson established Bowmore Distillery, one of the oldest distilleries on Islay. Owned by various parties over its 240 odd years, it has been the jewel in Suntory’s Whisky Distillery line-up for more than 30 years now.

Old School whisky making at its finest, this is a collectors item of note.

Nose: Fragrant. Herbal and earthy notes. Wet grass. Heather. Smoke at the background.

Palate: Liquorice. Some sweet fruit.

Finish: Quite dry, wine-like. Becomes more salty at the end.
