Bowmore 1989 16 years

This limited edition Cask Strength Bowmore was distilled in 1989, matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks and is a classic late-1980s Bowmore, with floral notes, peat smoke and flashes of citrus fruit.

In 1779, local merchant David Simpson established Bowmore Distillery, one of the oldest distilleries on Islay.

This is an important whisky in world of the whisky collector. A little biggie.

Nose: A youthful aroma with smoking peat embers.

Palate: multi-layered peat offers various layers of intensity and sweetness, from Fisherman’s Friend cough candy to Tyrolean smoked cheese.

Finish: Long with vanilla and smoke.
