This young Malt from Caol Ila is a typically heavily peated and lively cask strength expression from the Peat Masters of Islay, matured for 7 years in a first fill Chateau Lafite Wine Barrel. WTF

Chateau Lafite in Bordeaux France has been owned by the Rothschild family since 1868, but the Lafite Estate has been around since the early 1200’s.

Vines were planted by a hard working M. de Segur from 1670 and the estate has since been regarded as the top Wine Chateaux in the world by royalty and politicians alike. The Cellars were completely plundered by the Germans during ww2.  Spoils of war ya…
