Dufftown 8 year Single Malt 1970’s

Dufftown Distillery, founded in 1896 by Mackenzie Blenders was first traded to Arthur Bell & Sons in 1933 and was the real ring in the Bells success story.

Unlike other blenders, Uncle Arthur often released distillery bottling’s of this fine Single Malt. 8 Years is an unusual age, but the Italian Single Malt market was big at that time, and they liked their whisky youthful and vibrant.

This is a wonderful piece of that moment in Dufftown’s History and is in perfect collectible condition.

Dufftown Distillery is part of “The Singleton” trio now. Glen Ord, Glendullan and Dufftown are “The Singleton” a single recognizable brand for various continents with very different palates. Dufftown for UK, Glendullan for USA and Glen Ord for the thirsty East. We have various expressions of all of them available. And lots of Bells Blended.
