Glen Grant 17 Years (Private Barrel Company)

This Glen Grant is an independent bottling from the Whisky loving Gents at PB co. Matured in a Sherry butt, this is a lovely dram reminiscent of the old style of Glen Grant with lots of sherry, full and oily. The style changed somewhat from the 1980’s, but this is old school cool.

John Grant, the senior, founded the Glen Grant distillery in 1839 in a Valley that he named after himself. On his death his son John junior took over the company and the brand took over the world. A keen hunter, he traveled all over the world; bagging a lion here, doing a deal there, and eventually a bottle of Glen Grant Malt could be found in almost every good grocery store anywhere on the planet.
