Glenfiddich Ceramic 8 years ( 1970’s)
This is a mint condition bottle of the Whisky that won the world. Ceramic Decanters were a big thing in the 1970’s and this one was for the Italians. The box is in great condition and will make a very special addition to any respectable collection.
It’s late in the afternoon in 1886, and a young William Grant leaves Mortlach Distillery, nicks Cardhu’s old equipment and malts his first barley. His pal, a blender named Bill Williams eagerly tastes the first output from the stills, and the party begins.
Now in its fifth generation of family management this is Whisky Royalty, and Glenfiddich stands proud as the largest producers of Malt in Scotland. They also own Balvenie, Kininvie, Ailsa Bay and Girvan, the Grain Giant. Their Grant’s blended whisky is legendary, and the brand has a wonderful and colorful history. It is made even more special by the fact that the family stayed together, kept out the enemy and are here today, whole in body.
