Glenturret 1988 31 years single malt scotch whisky

The Glenturret Distillery was founded in 1818, although there was an illicit still in the neighborhood that made hooch very similar to Glenturret long before everything became official and full of paperwork.

Although the distillery is wee, their spirit is one of giants, and Glenturret has been mostly used in blends. The most Famous of Grouse even had their visitor centre onsite for a while.

Glenturret was sold in 2018 to a the Luxury company Lalique, and we might see some official bottles from this very little special distillery.

In the meantime Cadenheads has produced a beautiful bottle filled with a 31 year old single cask expression that should explain why Lalique paid so much for such a tiny piece of Scotland.
