Linkwood 1993 26 years Single Malt Whisky

The Distillery was founded 1821 and started rolling out the barrels three years later. In Elgin, at that time, most of the spirit was sold to blenders and Linkwood suffered the same fate.  Seldom seen as a single malt, kept as a secret weapon by blenders for decades, this is a very special whisky.

Linkwood has a wonderfully fresh thick texture which slows everything down in the mouth; and was rediscovered by the independent bottling industry some 150 years later. Something about long fermentation’s and lots of copper exposure.
