Loch Lomond 1966 45 years Single Malt

This is an aged expression from Loch Lomond, the Highland distillers of Alexandria, near to the Loch.

The stills were fired in 1966 and this is the distilleries very first malting.

Loch Lomond have emerged as fiercely independent, experimental and expert whisky makers. They have four different types of stills, a cooperage onsite, three brands each providing different styles of malt. They also own Glen Scotia of Campbletown, a very serious old school heavy malt distillery.

Every knows that Captain Haddock drank nothing but Loch Lomond. In the early versions of Tintin’s adventures,  our friend Captain Haddock drunk copious amount of Johnnie Walker and Haigs. His love for Loch Lomond started in 1964, when he went international.

Only 1640 bottles from 12 barrels of this precious Whisky.
