Loch Lomond 6 years Single Malt Scotch
Finished in wine barrels from Buitenverwachting Estate in South Africa this is a special expression from Loch Lomond.
Buitenverwachting Estate was founded 1773 when the Dutch owned the Cape, sailing ships, great adventure and some of the worlds finest vines.
The valley of Constantia is picturesque, with wine farms in abundance surrounded by huge cliffs and mountains, surrounded by the ocean. This is why Simon Van Der Stel left Amsterdam.
A collectible bottle, at least for South Africans. A great talking piece indeed for those long Saturday afternoons.
Nose: Grapes (of course), a delicious light and fruity variety with some lemon and maybe ocean.
Palate: Sweet Fruits, honey and more citrus.
Finish: a pleasing caramel finish.
