Miltonduff 12 years Single Malt Whisky

This is a very unusual official bottling of the Miltonduff Whisky, the malt that made Ballantine’s famous.

In recent years Ballantine’s has released a few single malt expressions of both Miltonduff and Glenburgie  in their trademark bottle. Lovely stuff. Ballantine’s is one of the best blends out there.

Founded in 1884 officially the stills had been making fine spirits in this area for centuries. Using the triple distillation process the whisky was popular among blenders and was the largest producer in Scotland by the turn of the century.

Eventually finding its way to Hiram Walker, the brand has never really seen a regular official release.
