The Antiquary Blended Scotch (1980’s)
Named after the 1816 gothic novel by Sir Walter Scott, The Antiquary is a Victorian blend with Edinburgh roots.
With a hearty proportion of Highland and Speyside malts (45%), the Antiquary usually provides wonderful citrus and vanilla notes, while a dash of Islay malt accounts for its light smokiness.
The unique diamond shaped bottle is synonymous with the brand and was introduced in the mid-20th century and has been retained through subsequent changes in ownership.
A beautiful, seldom seen bottle of Scotch that would look great in a collection. The bottle presents as new, the box is complete but worn.
