Whyte and Mackay 19 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky

A beautiful bottle of Blended Scotch from the Master Blenders of Whyte and Mackay. They have been selling their “Special Blends” Since 1882 and are well known for their Sherried influence. This one is spicy and wonderfully long on the finish.

Unlike many other operators at the time this company was very successful and stayed independent until 1972, quite a feat considering the ongoing turmoil of the preceding 100 years.

Nowadays W and M is owned by Emprador and operates Dalmore, Fettercairn, Jura, and Invergordon, where they recently developed the very popular Shackleton blend.

Great drinking but especially good by the fire.
